		<description>Thanks to a suggestion from @TheColonial, extended properties can now be set in a strongly-typed fashion using the metadata view itself:

builder.Register(c =&gt; new ScreenAppender())
    .As&lt;ILogAppender&gt;()
    .WithExtendedProperties&lt;ILogAppenderMetadata&gt;(ep =&gt; ep.For(m =&gt; m.AppenderName, &quot;screen&quot;));

This will be in builds from 2.1.6 onwards.</description>
